Published: August 12, 2017

Limerick FC have announced the signing of Hungarian striker Peter Berki for the rest of the season.

Speaking with the club’s media team in an interview on the clubs official twitter account, Berki explained how the move came about.

Berki said that he underwent a five day trial period at the club after being told of the opportunity to move to Limerick. As a result of his trial at the club, he was given a contract.

Berki joins the Superblues following stints in Austria, Romania and Hungary football. Since 2010, Berki has played for seven clubs throughout these three nations.

The Hungarian has made over 140 appearances throughout his club career to date scoring a total of 15 goals in the process.

Berki joins up with Neil McDonald's charges ahead of the Munster derby FAI Cup clash with Cobh Ramblers at St Colman's Park but it is unknown if he will play any role in the game.
