About Kevin Doyle
Kevin started his professional career at St Patrick's Athletic in 2001 where he made 10 league appearances before leaving to join Cork City in February 2003. Kevin spent two and a half seasons at Turner's Cross, scoring 25 goals. It was while at Cork City that he attracted the attention of scouts from England and, in June 2005, he signed for English Championship side Reading FC.
In his four years at Reading the club won promotion to the Premier League and Kevin scored 55 goals in 155 league appearances. In June 2009 he signed for Mick McCarthy at Wolverhampton Wanderers and went on to make over one hundred and fifty league appearances over six seasons that saw the club go from the Premier League to League One and back to the Championship. He also spent time on loan at QPR and Crystal Palace during the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons respectively.
Kevin joined MLS side Colorado Rapids in July 2015.
Kevin made his international debut against Sweden at Lansdowne Road on 1 March 2006 and, ahead of the friendlies with Switzerland and Slovakia, he has 62 caps and 14 goals to his name. He was not included in the Republic of Ireland's final squad for the 2016 European Championship.
